Corvus is Now Open to Writing and Cover Art Submissions for Issue Two

website3

Corvus would like to announce that we have opened submissions for cover art for Issue Two. Much like the magazine, we have no specific theme or style preference, please don’t feel like you need to submit something with ravens on it!

Photographs, hand- and digital art, drawing, painting, whatever you like best will all be very welcome. Manga and anime style art may not be considered, purely because it doesn’t fit the content of the magazine, but feel free to try and change our minds.

Multiple submissions are welcome – within reason, please don’t send in ten at once – and work does not have to be unpublished, but please do tell us if it has been published before, and do not send us anything that somebody else has the rights to.

Art not accepted for the cover may be considered for publication within the magazine as content, please state in your email if you do not want your submission considered for content.

Specs:

Cover art should be able to fit A4 dimensions (it may be bigger, but not smaller), as high a resolution as your computer can manage, and in .png format. Please include ‘COVER ART’ in the subject title, otherwise your email may end up in the spam box. Also include a short bio, you can look under ‘Submission Guidelines’ to see what kind we prefer, or look at the bios included in Issue One if you’re really not sure what it should look like. Links to galleries/websites are also welcome.

The submission email address is: corvusmagazine@gmail.com.

Please note we are unable to pay you for your work, as a non-profit magazine with a grand total of three editors at the moment, one part-time and one currently wandering about in Asia (no longer in sexy boots, more in ten layers of jumpers).

Submissions will be open until January 20th, but may be closed earlier if we receive a piece that is absolutely perfect. So get submitting!

We look forward to seeing your work!
